What's up, DJUSA newsletter readers! I just finished rocking an AMAZING 4th of July weekend with my team and I'm feeling good! I'm currently in Texas for the next few days spending some quality time with my family before I head out to the Dominican Republic to rock another destination wedding. So far, 2015 has given me many opportunities to rock destination weddings and make great memories with our clients and their loved ones. I just wanted to take some time out to personally thank all the clients that have given DJUSA and myself the chance to be a part of one of the most memorable days of their lives.

What’s up party people?! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer because I truly am! I just got done with another month of really exciting and memorable events. This past June I had the opportunity to fly down to the Cayman Islands for a destination wedding. I always have so much fun flying out of the country to perform and bring that New York City energy to the islands. I want to thank Mihir and Amee for bringing me down for their special night. The crowd was rocking all night long!!!

 

Soon after, I got a chance to take the stage at PST’s 11th Annual Freedom Festival at Mercer County Park in New Jersey. This year was the first year that the festival was three days long. We had rides for the kids, great food vendors, amazing cover bands, and of course fireworks!!! I got a chance to interact with lots of listeners and played music for the young and old. I want to thank the 20,000 people who came out and I hope they had as much fun as I did.

 

And last but certainly not least, I got a chance to take the show down to our nation’s capital for an amazing wedding reception at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, DC on July 4th. Just blocks away from the White House, my team and I were equipped with concert sound, uplighting, and intelligent lighting all through the beautiful atrium. Thank you to Nisha and Jay – this event was definitely one for the ages!!!

This past June, I had the opportunity to play for an amazing couple at their wedding celebration held at the W Hotel in Vieques Island, Puerto Rico. The only way to get to this island was by a 30 minute ride on a 6-passenger propeller plane from San Juan. Although the ride was scary, it was definitely an unforgettable experience – the island was truly beautiful.

 

We kicked off the festivities that weekend with a great welcome party on the island.  The next day began with a beautiful civil ceremony held on the beach. Later that night was the moment I had been looking forward to ever since I arrived on the island. Our reception began with some heartfelt speeches from close family and friends, and once we opened the dance floor, I had the crowd rocking for the next 6 hours. The energy from the crowd was amazing, I had no idea we had gone almost 3 hours over time until the venue asked me to shut my music off! Traveling out of the northeast to perform is always a phenomenal experience and I’m looking forward to doing it again really soon!
