Greetings and Happy Summer 2016 Y’all!
Albert Einstein once said, “The only reason for time is so that everything doesn’t happen at once.” Well this couldn’t be truer in my case. It was the summer of 1996, nearly 2 decades ago when I worked my first job, here in the states, to buy my first pair of turntables and a mixer, as I began my quest to be a Disk Jockey. Fresh of the airplane (LOL), my parents and I were two and a half years into a city that I call home today. The journey, since then, has been a sequential series of events that I can only describe as remarkable. Being a part of the growth process for an artist at any level is humbling yet exhilarating at the same time. It taught me skills that have helped me navigate my career, not just in entertainment and finance but life in general. It has been an ingredient in a well-balanced recipe that includes the support and love of my family, friends and colleagues in equal parts. The connections made in this industry may seem superficial to the general world but I can honestly say I’ve been blessed to meet some of the most amazing souls; we are friends even when we aren’t.
Today, after 20 insane years, all I can say is THANK YOU! Thank you all for supporting, believing, downloading, playing and jumping along with me. I hope I can continue to give you the positive vibes on the dance floor and your headphones for years to come!

So remember.. Next time you see a DJ killing it, a thumbs up goes a long way!!

Welcome back DJUSA Newsletter Readers!
I hope everyone is enjoying his or her start to the summer. I got a chance to kick mine off with a bang at 94.5FM PST’s Summer Bash!!! This year my radio station put together a concert at the Mercer County Park Festival Grounds featuring Melanie Martinez, Troye Sivan, R. City, Charlie Puth, and Fifth Harmony. I had the opportunity to get the crowd going as doors opened and in between all artist sets. With over 10,000 people in attendance I had a great time rocking the concert stage for people of all ages. It was an amazing feeling to be on stage and have fans both young and old sing the words back to every song I played at the top of their lungs! I also had a chance to interact with the artists on the bill backstage including R. City and all members of Fifth Harmony. All of the artists put on a great show and the concert was a tremendous success! I am really looking forward to rocking a concert stage in the very near future. Be sure to follow me at @DJAviPST on all social media to check out pics and videos from Summer Bash!!!! |
Hey Guys!
I’m Alex Flash and I have had the privilege to produce the most remarkable events all around the country. From Los Angeles to Miami, to a city that I am very familiar with while going to Penn State; Philadelphia. This past Friday I was able to spend time in one of my favorite cities, the city of brotherly love. The trip wasn’t just a visit but also an opportunity to produce an event for an NBA Legend! The Sixers’ former super-star and 2001 NBA MVP, Allen Iverson was inducted into the Hall of Fame early this year. Mitchell & Ness, and AI, were celebrating his induction in to the NBA Hall of Fame with the release of his 2001 All Star Game Authentic Jersey. This launch was held at Philadelphia’s most premium lifestyle brand that specializes in sportswear and menswear with an emphasis on craftsmanship, Lapstone & Hammer.
The production consisted of premium sound and entertainment by the one and only, DJ Clark Kent! Also known as God’s Favorite DJ, DJ Clark Kent created a wonderful atmosphere where the hall of famer and his fans were able to interact and relish an auspicious occasion.
Upon arrival, Allen Iverson greeted his fans and continued his way up the stairs to give a welcoming speech. He started with “I want to thank all of you! Without you, my beloved fans, I wouldn’t have been able to make it here.” As great a player as he was, his humble nature radiated the room!
“Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort” – FDR. I could not agree with this any more, love what you do and do what you love!
Friends, thank you for taking the time out to read about my experience! I will be in Tampa this weekend for another event so I hope you guys have a fabulous and safe holiday weekend!!
Love always, |
Hello Friends,
My name is Ameer and I have been with DJUSA for over a decade. I hope everyone is having an amazing and enjoyable summer! As June comes to an end, I have to say this month has been nothing short of a colossal success. To kick it off, DJUSA had the honor of rocking a prestigious event on June 4th; the wedding of Tomy & Lucy. With over 500 people throwing their hands up, we had none other then the world famous Master of Ceremonies, Marco G, keeping the energy level at it’s highest throughout the entire night! With a mix of Bollywood, Top Forty, Hip Hop & Reggae, our very own DJ Sharad once again, did not cease to amaze. Widely recognized as the best South Asian Disc Jockey in the world, DJ Sharad brought his A team in to the Huntington Hilton to produce and perform an unforgettable evening of celebration and merriment. Controlling our LED’s, intelligent and leko lights, our master lighting technician, Ace, turned a standard ballroom in to a Miami nightclub! A full set up of 4 grand LED screens, a white foam core dance floor, 10 Theatrical LEKO Lights to create wall patterns, and 50 wireless LED up lights, this total creation was an entire team effort. With the executive duo of Sharad & Marco, and the production team behind them, I am proud to say that once again, they showed up and delivered a preeminent event.
I hope everyone has a safe and delightful 4th of July weekend! |
